We’re a film studio based in Hong Kong, working with a global team of top creatives. We produce outstanding content that has an impact far beyond our region.

WHO WE ARE

Founded by Joanna Bowers in 2009, Cheeky Monkey Productions began in Los Angeles , but expanded our reach to Asia in 2011. We’re proud to produce films that tackle important topics told from diverse viewpoints that reach an international audience.

We’re well known for our recent feature documentary films The Helper and reFashioned. Both screened at film festivals internationally, had theatrical releases in Asia and went on to global distribution on platforms including AppleTV, Amazon Prime and more.
